A Success Story: Talia Smith, The Grooming Shoppe, Richmond

After working in the dog care industry for 15 years, Talia opened her own dog grooming studio with start-up financing from Community Capital. The Grooming Shoppe specializes in care of large breeds and dogs who are arthritic or older. A small boutique in the lobby includes pet accessories: stink-proof collars for summer swimmers, warm winter layers, brightly-colored vests for enhanced pet visibility, and more. Talia’s love for animals is the cornerstone of her pet care business.
